Beautiful Girl
I heard Christian Bautista's version of Beautiful Girl on the radio this morning. It is the same song written and sung by Jose Mari Chan only with a slightly different rendition. In my opinion- Jose Mari Chan's version is still way better. I'm not saying that I dislike CB's version, I just find JMC's original version way way as in way better. I dunno. He sang it with so much passion and soul. He has a very pleasant and soulful voice. Na LSS nga ako when his songs are played on radio. Jose Mari Chan is a gem. I wish he'd create more beautiful songs. Yun.
On Running
Globe's Run for Home is set on March 21, 2010. It's fast approaching and I haven't started training just yet! Hahaha. Akala mo marathon ang tatakbuhin eh noh. 3K lang pala. Hehehe. Kahit na, Kahit pa. My new goal for this 3K is 24 minutes. :) Pretty slow huh. Ganun talaga, when you're a newbie and xx plus pounds overweight like me, achievement na yun!!!
The Milo Marathon is still in my mind. Yun nga Iang in my mind lang. I haven't really made concrete steps to improve my running to qualify in the 42K race of MILO. Hopefully next week I could start running regularly again. I have a scheduled run tomorrow with Mark here in Boni High Street. It’s a start.
About Winning a complimentary dinner at Astoria Plaza
You see when I joined MET Badminton last year, I filled up a raffle coupon in one of the booths where the badminton tourney was held. A few days later, someone called up to say I won a complimentary dinner at Astoria Plaza in Ortigas. I brought a friend along and there-- we really had a good time devouring all those mouth-watering chow. Although I know that our tummies already had more than enough, our eyes' desires that time were insatiable. On our way out, we still craved to eat a slice of red velvet cake. Our eyes were very much willing but our stomach couldn't take in additional goodies anymore (and besides we were already on our way out). Because of this, we got upset! hahahaha... (Ang dami na nga kinain, upset upset pa...) So when the opportunity to join and win a complimentary dinner at Astoria presented itself to me last DZMM Takbo para sa Kalikasan, I grabbed it pronto! Hehehe.. I really took the time filling up not just one raffle coupon but half a dozen. (Sorry, that was how badly I wanted to win!). I was not just hoping but really expecting!!!! Hehehehe!!!
So when someone from Astoria Plaza called yesterday to say I won a complimentary dinner, I tried my best not to laugh hard while talking to the girl on the other line. The whole time we were talking I was like… “How lucky can I get?” and “Yippee, Yippee...” Gosh, even lightning does not strike the same place twice * tapos ako nanalo twice? Yahu talaga!! We can finally devour those cakes. Thank you Astoria Plaza. You just made my day.
*Pero myth lang yung about sa lightning-- Lightning can definitely strike any location more than once.
