Boracay- surprisingly enjoyable!
So I already told baba about my recent trip to Boracay. All I can say for now is that I enjoyed every minute of my stay. It was a company paid summer trip--and that made the stay more worthwhile. Hehehe!!! Thanks to our bosses!!! You just made my summer!!!! :)
Summer Trip report
March 18-20 Thurs-Saturday.
Boracay
I truly had fun partying at Boracay. It was an all expense paid company outing and I am pretty much grateful for the experience.
Hehehe. We were to leave Manila at 4 AM and I didn’t sleep at all because I was scared of not waking up on time and being left out (kakahiya sa mga boss pag nagkataon!). I was not about to let go of the chance to go to Boracay for free. Hehehe.
But to be honest—I wasn’t quite looking forward to it for the following reasons:
First—I am perennially scared of boarding planes—let alone small planes like that of SEAIR fleet. (But I didn’t have much of a choice)
Second—Boracay wasn’t really my kind of vacation place. At least that was what I initially thought!
Third—I kept it a secret. I didn’t tell my yaba so I was kindda feeling guilty.
But anyway, I still went because I was just relatively new in the company at ayaw kong masabihan ng ‘maarte’. At the airport we saw John Lloyd and Shaina. Yes John Lloyd and Shaina of ABS-CBN. Most of our officemates went to have their picture taken with the couple. But I, together with an officemate, was joking—Sino sila? Hehehe. I am not a big fan of John Lloyd so I didn’t bother. Kung si Piolo yun—that would have been a different story altogether. Hehehe..
Masaya. Masaya ang Boracay. There was no dull moment. You could actually do a lot of things. My officemates and I went Helmet Diving. Well, I didn’t listen to the instruction of the guide so I almost drowned myself. That part of the trip was not fun!!! But only that part. The rest—Masaya na!!! We also tried ‘paraw sailing’, now this was the fun part. Paraw Sailing by the way is a local outrigger sailing boat made from wood and bamboo. The boat has no engine, it just being pushed by the wind and the waves so it’s kinda scary and unsafe. Pag nahulog ka kasi sa Bangka – well hindi pa nila sure kung kelan ka nila mababalikan. But that is why it is more exciting than let’s say riding a banana boat. Sa banana boat, when you fall, susunduin ka agad.
Lovely!!! Since Boracay outing is a yearly activity in our company, my officemates and I vowed to try the parasailing next year. Takot ako sa heights but I guess I would be able to handle it naman. Nakaya ko nga yung zipline sa tagaytay, aba xempre kakayanin ko din un. Anyways matagal pa naman.
I'll post some pics in my next entry.
