The Last Airbender

Last night, we had our 1st Alveo Movie Night held in Greenbelt 3 Cinema 2. The movie shown was 'The Las Airbender'. I brought Felre boy (Mr. Bong!!! Haha!) and another friend as my guests. It was my first time EVER to watch a movie in 3D and it was paid for by our company. Alveo practically rented the whole cinema for its employees! How cool was that?! :)

So, that was 3D for me! I never believed it would be fun. Haha! It was dreamlike!!! The scenes and characters were embossed and I must admit I got a bit amazed, only because it was my first. Ikaw na ang probinsyana, hehehe. I was thinking last night na siguro kung may 3D din ang Lord of the Rings—it would definitely beat AVATAR as the highest grossing movie ever. Well, I adore the concept/story of AVATAR about taking care/appreciating Mother Nature and all that but in my opinion, LOTR still is the number 1 fantasy film of all time. Hehehe. Biased? Not exactly! Wala pang 3D non kaya mas mura ang cinema tickets nung sa LOTR. Plus LOTR (Return of the King specifically), is the only fantasy film to have won 11 awards out of 11 nominations from the Academy. That's really something. So yun!!

Going back to the ‘Last Airbender’, story was so so. Not that bad but not that very good either. If you haven't watched it, ok lang, walang mawawala kung hindi mo papanoorin! Or maybe Im just not a fan. What was actually cool were the 3D glasses i wore to see the characters come alive (hehe, exaj!!!). 3D is cool, yeah, but still, I'd prefer to watch films in a regular cinema for a lot of reasons. No, I’m not old, just old fashioned!!!
