A very noble profession
I woke up late again. Because I went home at about 11:30 in the evening last night. I came from my Accounting class which is scheduled every Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM.
Naubos ang enerhiya ko sa kakaturo ng ‘Journalizing, Posting and Preparation of Trial Balance’. Hehehe! Pero I don’t know kahit pagod at abonado pa ako- I’m happy every time I’m in class. Ang sarap ng feeling pag nakikita ko yung mga students ko na natututo. Noble di ba? That is why I love teaching—more than my primary work. Yun nga lang I am not really well-off so I need to keep this primary job because it pays a lot more. Someone’s gotta eat right? Pero yun, my dream talaga is to become a teacher. I remember when I was college and we had this seminar for freshmen, we were asked about our ‘dream jobs’. Most of the accounting students said they wanted to be the ‘most sought after CPA in town’. Oh crap! Hehehe! Siguro yung iba totoo naman, pero yung iba sinabi lang yun because the dean of the college was present. Ako naman, when I was called, I said, 'My dream is to become a teacher.' Come to think of it, I am now living that dream. Wow!
I am supposed to have a class pa tomorrow but my students asked kung pwede wag na mg class so they could rest kasi it’s their departmental the following day. Well, I am always generous with my students so I said ok lang.
Basta they have to make sure na makakakuha sila ng mataas na grade in their Managerial Accounting exam or else! Pinahabol ko din na they have to keep it honest. Ang ayaw ko sa lahat ay yung nangongopya. Di bale ng walang alam basta honest. Kasi yung mga accounting principles lahat yan natututunan kung hindi man ngayon – in the future. Pero yung integrity at honesty—pag meron ka nyan, ibang level ka. Mas kaaya aya ka sa paningin ng tao at Diyos. I have profound respect for those people whose integrity and honesty are unquestionable and unfaltering. So yun.
All good is hard. All evil is easy. Dying, losing, cheating, and mediocrity are easy. Stay away from easy.
